What is it?
This a Pyranha kayak being driven home, past the finishing line of the Weaver Valley Canoe Trail, marked by the location of the boathouses owned by the Runcorn Rowing Club and shared by the Runcorn Canoe Club.
Why did I build it?
I built this as it is in my hometown of Runcorn. The Weaver Navigation is the canalised arm of the River Weaver, where the canoe race course stretches over 17 1/2 miles from Winsford Marina to this pontoon and set of boathouses at Rocksavage. Also, Whitehouse Industrial Estate in Runcorn is where they build these kayaks.
Will it make a good set?
It's a simple build, and a pleasant bit of countryside that should appeal to many.
