GORILLA is a multi-purpose bipedal loader for the imagined future of city construction.
Bipedal vehicles or robots can often be seen in Sci-Fi themed televisions and films,
such as the well-known AT-ST “Chicken” Walker from Return of the Jedi.
The GORILLA is designed to play well together with the existing CITY CONSTRUCTION sets, which explains it bright yellow color scheme and the use of current worker minifigs.
The current build consists of about 289 parts, depending model type depicted by different limb configuration. A Gorilla set could include a single torso/cockpit chassis with multiple limbs configuration builds. Thus the builder can detach/attached to get different GORILLAs for different utilities, like a multi-tip screwdriver.
The reference element in designing GORILLA is the vehicle front casing part #98835 and #93587.
I’ll let the following pictures to show how fun it is to play with the GORILLA!
Opening cockpit with locking mechanism. Cockpit fits a standing minifig.
Full articulation in arms, legs and feets for poses. Moving "fingers" for grabbing loads and...
...climbing! Let GORILLA climb your 7905 BUILDING CRANE! It will be fun!
I hope you like this creation as much as I do. Looking forward to your support if this GORILLA finds your love!

PS: The GORILLA comes from one of my custom extension of LEGO CITY sets,
in which I have been trying the extrapolate the theme into the future.
This give me an excuse to infuse some Sci-fi elements into each toy
but without stretching it beyond believable engineering and technology.
