The Trimet MAX was built during the 1970s, and has since evolved a lot. This network now has 5 lines, 94 stations, 145 trains, and 59.7 miles of track. This train serves the Portland, Oregon city and suburbs. In LEGO form, this train can also do that!
What is it?
This train is an articulated light rail vehicle, based on the Siemens SD660s known as Type II and Type III trains. This train is in the 2002 Trimet livery, with a blue top, white middle, and yellow bottom. This train includes two pantographs, like the prototype, with one used for power, and the other used for scraping ice off overhead lines.
Why did you build it?
This train is an interesting one, as it is unique to Portland, Oregon. I thought it would be a fun build, and I haven't seen many LEGO iterations of this train.
Why do you believe this would make a great LEGO creation?
- This creation is realistic. It contains a lot of life like features.
- This creation is functional. You can easily add this to almost any LEGO setup, and it will work like the real thing.
- It's unique. LEGO doesn't have too many transit sets; most of their trains are bigger passenger and freight trains.
Why you should support this project.
You should support this build because it would be a great addition to any LEGO city. This set is highly functional and detailed. It would make a great addition to any LEGO catalog.
Thank you for looking at my project, and I hope you support it. Thank you!
By the way, please tell your family and friends to support this project. It would mean a lot to me!
