Alan Turing's English Bombe

Not everyone is aware of the significance of the Turing Machine in our modern world. We owe a great deal to Alan Turing for the existence of our computers and smartphones. The Turing Machine is the theoretical precursor of the computer, a device capable of computing anything computable, provided that it has the correct rules and inputs.

In this model, I attempted to recreate the room where Alan Turing built the English Bombe, a machine that played a crucial role in breaking the German Enigma enciphering machine. Additionally, I included a hypothetical representation of the Turing Machine on the desk, complete with two coils symbolizing the movement of the input and a reader and writer in the center.

The model has 823 elements.

I hope you enjoy it! =]
