The Alberta landscape
This set is a landscape view of the Canadian prairies in the province of Alberta. It features a wheat field, a grain elevator, grain silos, hay bales, a pond, and a train that includes an engine, caboose, and two train cars featuring a colour scheme typical to older Canadian trains.
Why I built it
I am from Alberta, and when I was growing up, I spent many hours in the back seat of the family car as my parents drove me through the vast prairie landscape. Looking out the window, I would get lost in the farmland vistas and the seemingly endless expanse of clear blue sky.
This set is a tribute to the many journeys my parents would take me on through the country roads of Alberta. Whether you've driven these same roads or not, I hope this set makes you feel like you're travelling through the heart of the Alberta prairies!
Features of the model
· The train has rotating wheels that can travel along the track
· The train cars have couplers and can detach and reattach to each other
· The grain elevator has a movable loading spout to align with the train cars
