It's amusing that this has 20.9% of the supporters of the big wonder

This Mini Lego Wonder has almost exactly 20.9% of the supporters of the big Lego Wonder https://ideas.lego.com/projects/128153 - the funny thing to me is that it's been almost exactly that percentage almost the entire time! (since I started looking anyway).  20-21%.  Do people like the other one 5x more? Or is the other one shared 5x more and people don't get to seeing this one?  Or???  We'll probably never know.

The other 80% of you can feel free to support both!  This one probably works better as a gift-shop model.

And please feel free to share everyone!

Odd promotion stuff

I tried to get more supporters for this, but ended up with more for the big wonder! Oh, well, I hope one of them makes it!  Support both!

I hear this is still in the Captain's Cabin of the Wonder :)

I mentioned on the big Disney Wonder cruise ship updates (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/128153) that we had trouble bringing her back to Seattle because of her size and below I mention that this Mini Lego Wonder was built as a thank-you to the Captains for bringing our Lego home for us.

I learned last week that the Mini Lego Wonder is still proudly displayed in the Captain's Cabin of the Wonder.  (Apparently completely hands off :))  I'm glad they still enjoy the little wonder, sorry I couldn't leave the big one (frankly the little one probably fits better!)  We have fond memories of that cruise and its nice to hear that we're still remembered.

Thanks again to the crew and captains of the Wonder, and all of the Disney Cruise Line ships :)

Well this would fit on a plane!

Find out what happened when we realized the Big Lego Wonder wasn't gonna fit on the plane!

Check out the latest update on the Big Lego Wonder!  https://ideas.lego.com/projects/128153/updates  That has the first part of this story.

(The story continues here)

It took a few weeks for the Disney Wonder to get back to Seattle.  Even then it still was a mystery.  The ship was in town, our Lego was presumably on it, but... no phone call!  Aiiii.  I drove down to the dock and learned that the customs folks couldn't quite figure out what to make of it.  That sort of makes sense, kind of a catch-22.  The crew didn't know much about what might be inside it, and it was out of my control for a few weeks.

So we went back home - empty handed.  The crew had warned us that Captain Fabian wouldn't let go of the Lego Wonder easily, so we had to joke about that.  Who do you call when Disney won't give back your toys?  The ship cruised between states, even internationally.  I could just imagine the phone call.  "Yea, FBI?  This is me.  I, uh, want to report a problem.  Disney won't give me back my Lego!"  Somehow we didn't think that would go over well!

Fortunately the customs stuff was straightened out and we were able to pick her up the next weekend.  Thanks again to the Captains and Crew of the Disney Wonder!

And that's what inspired the Mini Wonder.  After going to all that effort to bring our Lego Wonder back to us, we felt a bit bad about that empty hole in the Captain's cabin.  Then we brought the Mini Wonder back and presented it to Captain Thord (The captains rotate days at see and home and ships).

Captain Thord was thrilled.  "That was in my cabin when I came onboard!" he said, whipping out his phone and showing us pictures of the big Lego Wonder.  That was fun, we're glad both cabins had fun enjoying the Lego Wonder.

So that's the story of the Mini Wonder!

This one could sell

I did some calculations on the bigger ship's updates and that one might be out of Lego's comfort zone for price/size/quantity - though it does have a built-in market for the ones that might sell.

But I think there's a market for at least 30K of these little Disney Cruise Ships!  So this one could sell enough to be a real thing - if we can get to the support, and if we can get through the reviews, and get agreement between all the companies.

Over ten thousand people can sail on the Disney ships every week, and many of them are the right age to Love Lego, and most want souvenirs.  Even if only a few end up choosing this ship, the market is still pretty big!

Anyway, thanks to all those that have supported so far, and please remember to share!  And then share some more!
