Following popular demand I have resubmitted my Chinese New Year Dragon Dance project!

========================================================================

New Year is a key part of the Chinese calendar. It is celebrated all over the world in China and various Chinatowns. The colour red is lucky, and in myth is meant to scare away the monster Nian. Red lanterns are hung up all around towns, and children are given red envelopes filled with money.

This dragon parade, accompanied by the arch from London's Chinatown would fit in well with any city as part of a Chinatown, or as a standalone piece. Also with the set is a small girl holding a red envelope, and a boy with a lantern.The dragon itself is detailed, showing the dragon's whiskers and fur. It is posable, with ball and socket joints. The set also comes with a small lion dancer to scale with the dragon.

This can help to teach children about other cultures, creating a bridge over the widely present cultural gap.
