AirCar

The Aircar flying car is a product of the Slovak company Klein Vision, whose founder and CEO is Štefan Klein. The combination of a car and an airplane using such a design is absolutely fascinating and captivating to me, so I tried to build such a model from a Lego Technic kit.

It took me several months to build this model, during which I tried to create the design and features of the model to be as close as possible to the real model.

Features

  • Front axle drive and steering with a fake four cylinder engine
  • Two-speed gearbox to drive the propeller when unfolded (neutral position is used for movement when folded)
  • Folding and unfolding wings with opening covers
  • Rear wing extension and retraction

Technical parameters

  • Length: 42,7 cm (44,9 cm with rear wing extended)
  • Width: 15,8 cm (54,2 cm with wings folded out)
  • Height: 11,7 cm (14 cm with wing covers up)

  • Number of parts: 1164
  • Weight: 904 grams

I believe this could be a great set, offering a combination of car and plane that is not quite as common.
