LEGO Scout Camp

Embark on an exciting journey with the LEGO Scout Camp! As a former scout myself I designed this build to capture one of the most important moments for the scouts: the final scout camp of the year.

Set Highlights:

  • Main campsite, with the central fire and a table
  • A tent with a sleeping bag where you can sleep comfortably and a box with some tools
  • Cooking area with the kitchen fire on a table
  • Two scout minifigures

The reflector fire (seventh picture):
We would use this technique if it was cold during the night. We would place a wooden wall near the fire facing our beds and it would reflect the heat of the fire making the surroundings warmer.

The structures:
The first days of the camp are to be spent on building the structures that you will need during the camp. If the camp lasted for a long time (2-3 weeks) you had to make more resistant constructions and build a more comfortable bed. The technique that I found to be the most amazing that we used to build these structures is called "Froissartage". It's when you don't use strings or ropes to fix the logs but instead you make and you use wooden "nails". If you're interested you can search it up on internet.

I built this set because I really enjoyed my time as a scout and I hope this brings other kids closer to the world of camping and scouting.
I'm sure this will be a great LEGO set because it has a lot of accessories, a lot of play features and you can easily integrate this in other forests build or just put it on the shelf as a decoration.

Let me know if you would like to see more builds featuring the scouts!
