Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
This build is loosely based on the Modern sculpture "Speed" by multi talented artist Joseph Emile Renier depicting a rider on a winged-horse displayed at the Court of Communications, 1939 New York World's Fair in Flushing, Queens, New York. It was meant to be the symbol of the breath-taking speed of the different methods of communication back then.
Whereas the original sculpture was done in plaster this build is made to simulate metal, while still maintaining the Art Deco flavor of the piece. Proportion was kinda of a problem with the limitations posed by the bricks on hand. It would have been better if the horse head was bigger. Still, in totality I'm satisfied with the way it turned out. And as with my earlier projects its fairly simple to build.
This is my ninth build, and hopefully more to come, if you like this model please do share and support this build through your friends and your social network.
Your opinions, suggestions and comments are most welcome.
Thank You and Happy Building :)
