Willys Jeep Station Wagon 1955

The Willys Jeep Station Wagon was the first mass-market all-steel station wagon designed and built as a passenger vehicle. My Grandfather drove one of these in San Francisco in the 1950s and 60s. He used this car for his daily duties as a property manager and contractor. This Jeep was made in the U.S. from 1946 to 1965. This era coincided with consumers moving to the suburbs. The more iconic family station wagons would later appear (although not 4-wheel drive like the Willys Jeep). Note the spare tire on the side inside the passenger compartment. Since this car was part of my early childhood, I decided to make a lego set out of it. The curve and lines are perfect for lego bricks. It fits 6 minifigs, so it will be popular with kids and minifig aficionados.

I hope you enjoy it. Please don’t forget to support my other projects: https://ideas.lego.com/profile/cmortay/projects
