Welcome to the Working Modular Fairground!


The Idea

In between all the loud hustle and bustle of the city with its huge buildings all along the streets, there's a little place where you can forget the everyday stress for a while and enter a world that's only made out of fun: the local fairground! Take a ride with the Ferris wheel and enjoy the view over the city, try to win the teddy at the can throwing booth, taste some of the city's best cotton candy at the mobile vendor, pick your favorite animal at the carousel and go for some rounds, and last, but not least, and only if you have enough courage, try out the newest attraction of the city, the free fall tower! But no matter which ride you prefer, just enjoy yourself and have a great time at the local fairground!


The Build

The build consists of:
  • 100% modular-compatible fairground with built-in electrically powered drive train and attraction control console at the rear
  • Ferris wheel with six cabins
  • Free fall tower with four seats and attached electric cabinet
  • Carousel with four riding animals
  • Cotton candy bike
  • Can throwing booth with two throwing areas and attached power generator
  • Fairground director, two employees, mechanic, seven visitors, and, as always, some animals


The Functionality

The functionality is the following:
  • A central L motor propels a single main drive train with a transmission that is connected to all attractions; please also see image 14.
  • The power is supplied by an embedded battery box that can be easily ejected and swapped; please also see image 12.
  • Each attraction can be activated individually by their respective lever at the control console at the rear as follows; please also see image 11.
  • Blue lever: Rotates the Ferris wheel, while when in operation, the mini Ferris wheel at the entrance sign rotates too; please also see image 8 and 10.
  • Orange lever: Oscillates the can throwing visitor for- and backward, while when in operation, the cans at both throwing areas are overthrown and put back in place alternately; please also see image 10 and 14.
  • Yellow lever: Rotates the cotton candy in the bowl of the cotton candy bike; please also see image 9.
  • Red lever: Rotates the carousel; please also see image 9.
  • Turquoise lever: Operates the free fall tower, which has altogether three drops with customizable distances; please also see image 8.
