The Taipei architecture gift bag is a wonderful model for celebrating "World Architecture Day" (every first Monday of October, it falls on October. 07. 2024) and the 20th anniversary of Taipei 101 (2004-2024). It’s a good time to appreciate the great architectural works of the traditional and modern world and the architects and designers who designed them. The model is completed with approximately 1690 LEGO bricks and the white element is the main color to highlight secondary colors.
Taipei, Taiwan’s largest city, is known as the cultural kaleidoscope of Taiwan’s capital city. It is home to many iconic landmarks from the tallest buildings to the biggest collection of Chinese art, Taipei would invite you into a world of fascinating contrasts - a mix of the modern and traditional architecture in Asia. I tried to bring this “big” idea to make the perfect shot for my architecture gift bag model and show what Taipei architecture is.
Based on the model, I have Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Gate of Great Centrality and Perfect Uprightness, LOHAS Park, TWTC International Trade Building, the Grand Hotel Taipei, Tao Zhu Yin Yuan Tower (Agora Garden) placed on one side of the skyline. Another side of the skyline is the Sky Taipei, Taipei Nan Shan Plaza, and Taipei 101.
I tried to scale down all of Taipei's architecture and put them into one gift bag. The interesting feature is the gift bag can be opened with two sides and connected to it. It shows the amazing architectural skyline of Taipei. Besides, the architectural skyline can be taken out and exchanged positions. On the top of the bag, I created the beautiful landscape and vacation village in Taipei. I also added a few decorations in the front bag such as sun, clouds, plants, and flowers.
My favorite part of the model is the details and features of the bag. It makes me enjoy the architecture of Taipei from two perspectives: one is closing the bag and the other one is opening the bag. I also want to mention the color combinations that are so beautiful. I love my design so much. I believe that this would make a great LEGO set in the future because it's a nice gift for architects, designers, or people who love architecture and Taipei in Taiwan.
