This is the second-generation Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX facelift.
I decided to build this car because it's an iconic and a big part of car-tuning history.
It appeared more than 80 times in the first movie of a very known franchise.
Unfortunately, the 2G Eclipse GSX is very rare in the car model scene.
You can not buy a standard model of this one anywhere, but the famous green one of the franchise is available everywhere.
So I thought it would be a good idea to combine a much-loved car with a much-loved platform.
There are a few issues, which I hope can be fixed in the final phase by the amazing minds of the LEGO team:
- The wedges in the front are not available in the color red.
- The 3x1 bar used for the foglights needs to be in trans-clear.
- Rims and tires would need to be the new ones.
- This model would need some stickers for the intakes, headlights, sunroof, and cover the top part of the tail lights.
- It would be amazing if there would be a way to keep the shape of the coupé while making the trunk funktional. I was not able to find a proper solution for it.
