Luxo Jr combines my passion for LEGO with my interest in PIXAR Animation Studios, to bring you an articulated display model. The design is screen-accurate and can be posed by moving the base, head or by extending the height of the body, making for an ideal desk-ornament or something to liven up a shelf.
I used both digital and physical building, which allowed me to develop the model to be as user-friendly as possible while also allowing me to choose the most ideal pieces for the model's aesthetics.
I believe that this project would sufficiently add to LEGO and Disney's product collection, with a relatively low (178) part count and iconic, timeless design keeping it low-cost and accessible to all age groups.
The build experience too would be interesting for potential buyers, as it optimises system, technic and SNOT (studs not on top) building throughout.
Luxo Jr is my first LEGO Ideas project, and one which I hope you believe in and appreciate as much as I do.
