This model is a tribute to the iconic IBM 5150 Personal Computer, which was first introduced in 1981. As one of the most significant milestones in the history of computing, the IBM 5150 revolutionized the personal computer industry and set the standard for future desktop PCs.
Constructed with attention to detail, this Lego version captures the classic design and structure of the original 5150. From the white-colored body to the carefully replicated keyboard and disk drives, every piece has been carefully selected and placed to emulate the charm and simplicity of the early 1980s computing era.
Details about the product.
- This set will include a selection of pieces so you can customize the motherboard and monitor circuit boards yourself.
- The on/off switch is mechanical, so with LEGO Powered Up, you could make it do some pretty cool stuff!
- The two floppy disks will be able to be put into the drives, but I couldn't find a way to make it eject mechanically (You can remove it just by pulling it.). Comment if you have any ideas to make this set better!
