Hello! This is a rebuild of Edoras, the Golden Hall from the Lord of the Rings. I built a similar model that recently expired, and now I am resubmitting it with improved building techniques, layout updates, a smaller piece count, and better playability.

Because of the smaller piece count, this build is easily small enough to be a Lego Ideas set, which Lego specifically decided in allowing the first model to be entered.

Edoras appears in the Two Towers, the second movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It is one of my favorite pieces of Tolkien architecture, and it was not included in the LOTR or Hobbit line that Lego produced.

This has a more accurate layout than the previous model, as before I only included one side portion of the building. This time I included two, while keeping roughly the same piece count. I updated the rock technique into an equally stable, much more complex structure. The base is more stable, making it easy to transport, and I was much better at preserving the piece count in the internal structure. The staircase is much more complicated and realistic, but is not too hard to build.

The roof is easier to detach, and the interior is fairly accessible from the open back. The roof is much more stable and easy to build, and the grass detail is much better constructed. I used more SNOT (Studs Not On Top), which makes this model discretely prettier. This is a great display model, while it is also very playable, having a detailed interior. The build is easily transportable, being fairly light with a stable base.

This contains three Rohirrim soldiers, Aragorn, Theoden, King of Rohan, Gandalf the White, Legolas, Gimli, Grima Wormtongue, and Eowyn, who was not included as a minifigure in the LOTR line.

This would make a great addition the the Ideas line, having great detail and being fairly easy to build. I would love to see Lego bring back LOTR, as this castle-like theme is loved by many, and both the movies and books are amazing.

I hope you like this project idea! Please support!!
