The Delphinus comes from the RPG "Skies of Arcadia" in which flying ships cross oceans of sky between floating continents. Built by the power hungry Valuan Empire as the first in a new line of ships to further their aim of world domination, the Delphinus is daringly stolen before launch by a small band of air pirates on a mission to avert a more powerful and ancient threat than Valua itself.
The game is full of interesting and unconventional ship designs but the Delphinus really captured my imagination. When I found there wasn't a model available I did what any AFOL would and set about making my own! Having just finished a third revision to the design, and given that this year marks the 15th anniversary of the game's release, it seemed to perfect time to upload this project.
The finished model is just over 39 studs (30cm) long which by my very ad hoc calculations makes it around 1:350 scale. It contains 783 parts including the stand.
