The Beatles have become one of the most famous rock bands in history, but where did they start? In 1961, the Beatles started playing at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. In 1962, Ringo Starr joined the band. This project is based mainly upon 1963, when the Fab Four were playing some of their original hits including I Saw Her Standing There, Boys, and Twist and Shout.
And now, a little about the model.
The stage has a curved roof made out of simple hinge elements. It also has several amplifiers to really blast the music.
Ringo’s drum set is my favorite part of the project. You may notice I have a different drum set in the other pictures. I have updated! The bass drum is now a good deal smaller, and the other drums and the throne are a little closer to being minifigure-scale.
The minifigures are pretty basic, vests and smiling faces. They can be differentiated by wigs.
The piece count is 766, but the new drum with base plate is only 57 pieces. I can certainly cut down the piece count to be more acceptable for Ideas.
I think this would make a fantastic Ideas set. The box art would be the model surrounded by blurred pictures of fans from the actual Cavern Club. The instruction manual could be packed with fun facts about the early Beatles and pictures taken at the Cavern and from the album Please Please Me.
With a little help from my friends, my fellow Ideas members, we could get this onto shelves. So please, if you like the Beatles or have an interest in music, support, follow, and share this wherever you can. Thanks you!
