Hohenzollern Bridge (Hohenzollernbrücke)

This is my creation of the world-famous Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne, Germany. This bridge crosses the Rhine River and has a deep and complex history having been destroyed along with the rest of Cologne during the Second World War, once the rebuild of the bridge was completed in 1959, trains could continue again to use the bridge and later on in the 80's, the bridge received a renovation to add new track so the bridge could meet demand.

This bridge serves as an icon of rail, architecture and engineering and I wanted to make it from LEGO so it serves as a nice thing to have on a shelf or table and due to its slim nature, the shelf doesn't have to be too deep to house it and the colour also makes it something nice to have around as it fits a number of different decors with its mostly Sand Green construction.

I have tried to make this set much like an Architecture one with 2 nameplates on the bridge depending if you want the German, or English version of the bridges name. With a black base to make it aesetically pleasing. I kept the piece count down too so it wouldn't end up being a massive set.

SET FACTS:
Dimensions: 66.2cm x 12.5cm
