Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
First of all, yes, this is only half of a werewolf. But only because I do not have enough pieces to make legs. If this somehow became a set, it would have legs. So right now it's sort of a mannequin or display piece.
Second, the colors are pretty strange. I'm not exactly sure what the colors would be for the hinge pieces and the more brickstyle pieces, but as much of the rest as possible would be translucent or whitish. The parts shown as translucent light blue would be as they are.
This werewolf is fully posable, with an opening jaw, turning head, bending elbows, versatile shoulder joints, and even articulated fingers and wrists. The shoulders and wrists are held on with rubber bands, so they can move realistically.
The purpose of this is to look as realistic as possible while still maintaining functionality. The shoulder armor is made with standard visor pieces on a tire. The gauntlets are made with standard visor pieces on thinner small tire pieces. The fingers are minifigure arms, though if I could, I'd make them robot minifigure arms with the thorn piece in the ends. The werewolf has a belt slung across its chest, which holds a dagger, but could hold other weapons and items.
The werewolf's main weapon is a sword, which is a little small, but at least is completely brick-built. The shield could be bigger if I had a bigger disc piece, but does attach via rubber band to the werewolf's arm.
The actual set I am proposing is of two (2) werewolves, possibly with different features.
I built this because I love fantasy. I think The Lego Company stilll has not even scratched the surface of possibilities in the fantasy realm. Their solution to new creatures has generally been to make new pieces, but this shows how new creatures can be built in a little larger scale with much greater realisticity and posability.
Any support, feedback, criticisms, or ideas on how to build legs are welcome.
