"I continuously go further and further learning about my own limitations, my body limitation, psychological limitations. It's a way of life for me". This is one of many famous inspirational quotes from Ayrton Senna.
Ayrton Senna’s extraordinary feats at the wheel of a racing car yielded three world championship titles and 41 grand prix victories. He was probably the greatest exponent of the flat-out qualifying lap the sport has ever seen, taking 65 pole positions in 162 races.

Ayrton was my childhood hero and he died on 1-5-'94 during the F1 Gran Prix of Imola (Italy, which is where I come from) and I don't think I am exaggerating when I say that it was one the worst days of my life, or at least of my childhood! So here it is a set of 1594 to honor this legendary driver. With this Lego Ideas set you would have the chance to build his instantly recognizable racing helmet.
The yellow is predominant. The green and blue bands symbolize movement and aggressivity.
The helmet was designed by Sid Mosca in 1979 and Ayrton liked it so much that it decided to keep it for all his career. Only minor changes were made like when Ayrton chose fluorescent yellow instead of the normal yellow but he then decided to go back to the usual colours.

My project took me a lot of time (please don't tell my wife! :D) but I am finally proud of my creation and I think this set deserves to make it!
