In 1969, Elton John released his first album, Empty Sky. To celebrate 50 years of success, this LEGO Ideas project brings to life the artwork from his 1973 album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. It also features one minifigure, the Rocketman himself, Elton John, along with a grand piano and microphone stand.
Many years ago, I was inspired to learn piano because of Elton John's music, and there are undoubtedly millions of other stories similar to mine. I love to make small LEGO motifs of the things that are important to me, and I am especially proud with how this came out, and I wanted to share it with the community.
There are approximately 400 pieces in this build.
