CTA (Cherenkov Telescope Array) is an international project to build the world’s largest high-energy gamma-ray observatory. It will consist of about 100 telescopes located in Chile and Spain. Three telescope sizes are required to cover the intended energy range.
This Lego model is a representation of one of CTA's small-sized telescopes, the SST-1M. Its scale is approximately 1:20 and it can be fixed in two positions. A ‘boat weight’ piece is used as counterweight, allowing for stable positioning.
