1985 Audi Quattro S1

The Audi Quattro is considered by many to be one of the greatest Audi models of all time. It is best known for being the first car to use Audi's now proven and famous Quattro all-wheel-drive system, as its name suggests. It also dominated most rally races in its class, Group B, which is famous for being a very adrenaline-high racing series. Featuring extremely powerful and lightweight cars, Group B cemented its legacy to be remembered today, even though it only existed from 1982 to 1986, when it was shut down because its creators deemed it too dangerous for drivers and spectators alike (the spectators stood on the track itself until the car was just a few feet away and then scrambled to the sides in order not to get hit). The Quattro is also remembered for having the legendary turbocharged five-cylinder engine present in multiple Audi models of the time. This 1/13 scale Lego model has a detailed replica of this engine, as well as:

- Opening doors and hood

- A detailed interior

- HoG steering

- Rear independent suspension

This model uses many different building techniques, such as angled construction, lateral constriction, and studs-on-the-bottom construction. I estimate this model has between 1000-1300 pieces, but there is no exact piece count.
