How I met your mother. One of the most well known sitcoms of the 2000s. This series follows Ted Mosby, a young architect searching for love, narrated by his older self as a story to his children. After 9 seasons and much heartbreak, Ted finally meets “the mother”, Tracy McConnell, at Farhampton station,
After seasons of anticipation, and how closely Ted and Tracy lives had overlapped, the finally meet. This set is a faithful recreation of the train station and iconic moment they meet, following his friends Barney and Robins wedding.
This set contains roughly 4370 pieces, outlining the train station and 3 mini figures involved in the scene, Ted, Tracy and the lady that encouraged Ted. As well as the umbrella they both claim. The base is 96 studs by 48 studs. The set is a diorama depicting the train station from how it is seen in “how I met your mother” as well as a quick glimpse inside the ticket station (which isn’t seen on the show). I mixed rounded tiles to give the floor a wet shiny look as in the tv scene it was raining heavily.
I think this would be a good LEGO set because “how I met your mother” was the sitcom of the 2000s, still being broadcasted today, it holds up well. It has moments of laughter, sadness and teaching. And after 9 long seasons, Ted finally meets the one he’s been looking for, having learnt and matured from his past relationships.
