Set Description:
2020 was the year for LEGO train fans all over the world – the crocodile made it to the shops! I was thrilled about the idea of exhibiting some other legendary locomotive beside the Swiss one, so I thought to design the EMD F7A Bluebonnet. This specific F7A (332L) was one of 462 units owned by Santa Fe railways and used on freight services. To match the original details and perfect scale, I started from scratch with an 8 wide look and the adjusted length and height.
Due to the 20 years anniversary of the Santa Fe “Super Chief” in 2022, I thought it would be a great opportunity to celebrate this kind of legendary locomotive with its partner model – the 332L – for an exhibition purpose. My LEGO IDEA aims at a display model featuring a detailed interior and exterior. Motorizing is possible too ;)
