Noot noot! Welcome to the Pingu LEGO Ideas page!
Who is Pingu?
In 1986 the animated TV series "Pingu" was created by Otmar Gutmann. It stars the little penguin Pingu who lives with his family in an igloo on the South Pole. He likes to go on adventures with his sister Pinga and his seal friend Robby, and at home he often causes mischiefs.
I watched this show a lot when I was a kid, and I still like the unique style and humor in it. One of the reasons for its uniqueness is that the penguins got their own quite funny penguin language, that sounds like a mix between several languages.
Pingu as a LEGO set
I think Pingu would work great in LEGO. It would not be a too expensive set, but would still open up for a lot of playability. And just like in the TV series it could also be educational for younger children.
The set would include the following:
5 minifigures - Pingu, his sister Pinga, his seal friend Robby and his mother and father
Their igloo home
Pingu's father's "mail snowscooter"
Various furnitures that represent the interior of the igloo
There is also a Facebook-page for LEGO Pingu here.
