This is an Alien Conquest themed tensegrity structure. It represents an alien gunship preparing to take off. It works best as a display piece, but in the “Lego world” the alien would board the ship in the docked position, move it to flight mode, release the chains locking it in, and fly off to battle. Themed tensegrity structures like this are great to look at, and it would be great if one could be produced as a set that anyone could buy.
