In 2005, The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition was published. It was written by Carol Aebersold and Chanda Bell.
Since then, the elf on the shelf has come to households across the world during the holiday season.
The scout elf will observe what goes on and report back to Santa Claus about what has been found.
This elf can be posed into different positions.
The elf comes with a candy cane, a melting marshmallow and some Lego scissors to help with anything mischievous that the elf may get up to.

EDIT: I have made some alterations to make sure this scout elf has the official elf on the shelf details. The elf now has the all red outfit and is looking to the right. There is also the option of white mittens or the ungloved hands to allow for more variety of posing and gripping items. 🎄🎅
