The Mobile Explorer Space Team (MEST) is a modular space rover, suitable for exploration.
I built it out of my passion for the classic space theme.
In this MOC, of exactly 250 pieces, I was inspired by the classic lines of the old LEGO Space series.
I designed a modular vehicle consisting of a "rover", a shuttle and a radar station.
Together they form a single vehicle with two cockpits.
The spacecraft fits into the mobile launch station (it can rotate and rise) and the wings fold to protect the rover.
The radar station fits into the rear of the vehicle to be transported and serve as logistical support.
The cockpits have antennas used as levers for driving and slopes printed with patterns and buttons.
This set also has two astronauts.
Like a few years ago, with the Ideas exoskeleton, green astronauts were introduced, so I used a darker shade of blue than the classic line.
I believe this would make a great LEGO set because it combines a vintage taste with a pinch of modernity; furthermore, being a modular construction, it is very versatile in terms of playability and can "complete" some space-themed diorama.
