Highway Hazard Warning Truck

This highway hazard warning truck is based on the maintenance truck no 3179. When working on fast moving roads these trucks are used to warn traffic of hazards up ahead and direct them to change lanes if necessary, keeping the workforce safe. There is an impact absorber on the rear of the truck which can be lowered when the warning sign is working. The impact absorber cushions any collision and helps to prevent serious injuries.

In the back of the truck some roadsigns and barriers can be carried. There is a platform on each side of the truck so that a worker can place signs/cones as the truck is moving slowly along the road.

The large Keep Left/Keep Right sign on the rear of the truck rotates and clips in place to point either way. The impact protector is hinged just enough to hold it rigid, but still bend if it is pushed.
