Off-shore exploration drill rig.
A model based on actual rigs used in the energy industry to explore and produce oil an gas.
The idea for this model started a long time ago and resurfaced when I got hold of a large number of those yellow support bricks :-). I build it just for fun but since many people liked the result I decided to post it.
’Industrial objects’ are rare in the existing Lego sets so I thought it would be a nice addition. I tried to make it as genuine as possible with the jack-up legs, derrick, accomodation block, heli-deck and life boats.
