Now that Lego has resolved the brittleness issues with brown bricks and plates, I have been thinking of a way to showcase this new strength. What better way than an upscaled version of the ever classic pirate chest. This is a piece that every Lego fan has played with a million times, hiding treasures for their minifigures to find.
This model is an approximate 4X upscale of the pirate chest and can even be stacked on top of another chest of this size. I also added some upscaled doubloons for this chest, in that ever rare chrome gold color, and who doesn't want more chrome gold pieces to work with? And of course I have included a pirate minifigure with his own freshly dug up treasure chest. I kept the piece count under 300 so that this bonanza won't break the bank, so that the pirate young and old can appreciate it.
