Greyshire caste was designed in order to create a more realistic castle set. Generally, I feel like the castle sets that lego offers have been more fantasy oriented, or have not captured some of the basic elements of real castle design (Keeps, baileys, and moats for example).
Greyshire castle is modeled on English/Norman castles from the 11th and 12th centuries. The basic design features a moated Norman keep and a circular bailey. The keep is two floors, and features bothe a throne room, and a round-table room. The Bailey Features several elements including: a blacksmith, Alchemist's shop, Butcher's store, and a jail.
The castle includes 10 figures: soldiers (3), Knight, King, Princess, Blacksmith, Alchemist, Butcher, and a spy.
The set contains 649 pieces, and the dimensions are roughly 50x50 studs.
