In Asia and Africa, sunbirds are nectar-feeder counterparts to America's Hummingbirds via convergence evolution. There're 146 species of them around the world and most of the male sunbirds have iridescent and vibrant-colored feathers.
I created the sunbirds based on the collection ideas from the Brickheadz series and started with Olive-backed Sunbird, one of the most commonly seen sunbirds in Asia. It has a total of 58 LEGO pieces. I planned each of them to be sold as a polybag product, so everyone can easily purchase them and slowly collect them.
In the future, I planned to create more variations of the sunbird collection as well as other types of birds.
