STORY :
Penguins 🐧 those adorable creatures with black and white plumage, are a true attraction in zoos around the world. Their clumsy gait on land contrasts with their grace and agility underwater. In enclosures specially designed for them, penguins always seem playful, moving with a liveliness that captures the attention of visitors of all ages.
Every day, zookeepers take care of these seabirds, ensuring they have an environment tailored to their needs. They provide swimming pools, rocks for perching, and sometimes even slides for sliding, allowing penguins to thrive in a setting that closely resembles their natural habitat.
Penguins are also fantastic ambassadors for marine conservation. By observing them in zoos, visitors often become aware (I hope) of the importance of protecting marine habitats and the species that inhabit them. Their playful and endearing presence inspires people to get involved in initiatives to preserve oceans and coastal areas.
WHY PENGUINS ? :
Why are penguins my favorite animals ? It's simple : their curious nature, playful behavior, and charming appearance melt my heart every time I observe them. Their ability to juggle between elements, gracefully swimming in the water while clumsily moving on land, is both fascinating and adorable.
Moreover, penguins have a complex social dynamic that captivates me. Their interactions within their group, their joyful cries, and their courtship behaviors are among the aspects that touch me the most. Their dedication to their partners and offspring is also admirable, showing a strong sense of family that resonates deeply with me.
PS : I think I should start to stop buying penguin plushies before they completely take over my room ! Haha !
WHY LEGO IDEAS ? :
I think this set could be the beginning of a long line ! What could be better than a zoo to complement your cities ?! 😍
I've always found it a pity that we don't have more ways to incorporate animals into our Lego city representations. So, I think this would be a good compromise to showcase the big constructions of our builders and to please the children.
Moreover, with its numerous easter eggs and hidden behind-the-scenes, this set is a great mix of quality craftsmanship and fun during construction ! 🎉

- Eggs : Did you know ! Male penguins are tasked with taking care of the egg until it hatches! It's a big responsibility ! Even if... this one seems to prefer sleeping, haha !
- Rocks : Like many living beings, penguins fall in love! But did you know that it's not gold or precious stones from rings that interest them ? When a penguin finds his mate, it's a ROCK that he offers her. It looks like this one is getting ready to propose !! 🎉
Attention : It is obvious that I do not condone animal cruelty ! I wanted to recreate a zoo as a memory of those I had seen as a child, where animals were welcomed to be healed. My Lego set aims to be primarily a tribute to the penguins while remaining a space of fun, mutual aid, and joy for humans and animals ! ❤
