This model is based on Ralph McQuarrie's conceptual X-wing designs, and subtly differs from the final X-Wing models seen onscreen in Star Wars: A New Hope.

This prototype will be on display at LEGOLAND California Star Wars Days, March 31st - April 1st, 2012 at the Fan Gallery on the Model Workshop Rooftop.
