This is my project of a Lego version of the iconic Watterson’s House from the hit CN cartoon series “The Amazing World of Gumball”.
What I loved the most about this house is the absurd difference between the humble exterior and the space inside. This was the biggest challenge in the design. I hope that I managed to capture some of that magic in my build. The proportions of the building were also very important.
The set, which is made of around 2000 parts, contains many elements:
- The Watterson’s House with removable roof and 1st floor
- The family car with 3 seats
- 6 minifigures: Gumball, Darwin, Anais, Richard and Nicole Watterson + Larry Needlemeyer
- Larry’s scooter with Pizza
For me The Amazing World of Gumball is a big part of my childhood, because it has always been one of my favourite cartoons ever made. Now it would be awesome to play with these characters recreated in Lego. The series has aired for 12 years and deserves a lego set of its own - I’m sure that many Gumball fans would be happy about that.
