The Mask of Zorro

This project is based on the 1998 film The Mask of Zorro. In the climax of the film, Zorro and his companions duel the sinister Don Raphael Montero and Captain Harrison Love on Santa Anna's gold mine. 

This set contains five minifigures: Zorro (Alejandro Murrieta), Elena, Zorro (Diego de la Vega), Captain Love, and Don Raphael Montero. The set is made of two distinct parts: the mine shaft and the prison cell. While Zorro duels his opponent on and in the mine shaft, Elena breaks open the prison cell. (An iconic "Z" was carved into the wall by someone...)

Zorro has been a popular character since 1919 when he made his personal appearance. Now, over a century later, his appearance is still legendary. The film The Mask of Zorro was a huge hit when it came out, and has since become a classic. I wanted to honor its legacy in a project that I hoped would capture the swashbuckling thrill that we all love. Thanks for checking it out.

Note: The Zorro figure would ideally have a modified headpiece for his hat and cowl, but if that isn't an option, piece number 98279 would work just as well.
