Tourbillon is an addition to the mechanics of a watch escapement. It reduces the effect of gravity by rotating itself. This model is double-axis tourbillon. The escapement and the balance wheel rotate in two directions.
By building this model you can learn the mechanisms. Yellow banana gears were used for an internal gear and a balance wheel. A red rubber band and a NXT motor were used for hairspring and mainspring, respectively.
