Over the years LEGO has produced many railway tipper wagons for the LEGO train system, but none have the capacity to function like this one. When the wagon pasts the track side tipper activating system the wagons load is poured out.
If you click on the link below you can see this wagon in action, using the forward motion only the gear wheel engages with the rack mounted on the track side. This is converted into a rotation direction by the large bevelled gear. Thus tipping the load onto the track side.
