Drakar och demoner/Dragonbane is a Swedish Roleplaying Game 40 years in the making! Celebrating the 40th anniversary, Dragonbane is now published by Free League Publishing to be released during the summer and soon translated into six additional languages!
The build is based on the front cover of the game, an illustration by acclaimed fantasy illustrator Johan Egerkrans. The color scheme is inspired by the drawing Stormbringer by Michael Whelan, an image that was the front cover for the game for many years.
In this image, we can see the lone knight closing in on the dragon, in a desolate landscape. I have been a fan of this game for as long as it has been published. And since role playing and Lego are my two greatest interests, I thought I would give it a go. The hardest part were the wings of the dragon which took a few rebuilds before satisfied.
As a disclaimer: I work with customer support for Free League Publishing, but am not affiliated with the production team, and I did back the Kickstarter among 11.683 other fans of the game.
