Tiffany & Co Engagement Ring Box

This recreation is fractionally taller than the original but otherwise matches it quite nicely. The hinge on the back replicates the look of the Tiffany box and allows it to open to reveal the engagement ring inside.

The mechanism to hold the ring was the most difficult part of the build having to fit in to a 4x4 stud space. I've gone through some redesigns and it now uses two lines of flexible Technic axel connectors. They make it easy to put the ring into the box and emulate the cushioning used to hold an engagement ring in place. The new way that the ring is held left some space inside the base which allowed for the addition of a clasp. This means that as with the original you need to push the button on the front to open the box and reveal the engagement ring inside.

I have included six renders and one photograph of a physical model. I built the model to ensure that it would not only look like but also function like the iconic blue box.
