Minifigures
Someone suggested that the pawns be standardised. I understand the point and would make all the pawns one type for individual movie chess sets (as I did with a Hoth chess set). This is an Original Trilogy set and all the pawns cover the original three movies as do the pieces. One of the attractions of this set is the number and variety of minifigures. I would hope that if this est were ever made Lego would keep this aspect and it would make it a very popular set indeed.
However, my aim would be that the set could be modified in this respect as the owner saw fit. And part of the fun would be getting to know your pieces very well so you don't get lost in the middle of a game.
