Flying Vehicle Carousel

The fair has arrived ved in town and which ride will you go on first? The water skimmer speedboat, the chug along steam train, the cool roadster car or the futuristic spacecraft.

I wanted to display enduring Lego City sets in a fun and original way using Technic gearing to both rotate and lift them to give the impression that the vehicles are both moving and flying.

This would make an interesting build highlighting how to turn circular motion into vertical linear motion using some simple gearing with the new smaller circular gear rack and vintage crankshaft.

All the vehicles can be detached and fit mini-figs, so make great individual play items, are straightforward builds with around only 40 pieces each.
