H0 Train Starter Set With Class 24 Steam Locomotive

This is a model of a German Federal Railroad (DB) branch line train that consists of a Class 24 steam locomotive with a tender and 3 “Donnerbüchse” / “Thunder Box” cars. The train is build as close to H0 scale as possible without losing the ability to use the LEGO track system. The length of the Train is 67,9cm compared to the length of an original H0 model with 67,4cm.

I wanted a realistic looking model railroad that I could put on the living room table and that would allow a larger section of track to be built on a shelf to display for example a long passenger train with landscape and buildings build in LEGO. The problem with the typical LEGO train models is that they are too big to build nice and realistic looking layouts on a small space. This Starter Set brings you a passenger train and a Track Layout to start with. 

The set comes with a complete train and track layout to start building an own model railway layout by adding landscape, trees, buildings, cars, figures, etc. Or simply showcase the train as an collectors item.
