Romantic Castle

Would you not love to live in a castle? With this model you can! This small but romantic castle is build in the shape of a hexagon: Six sides that together form the main tower. It's situated in a pond and can be excessed via a small bridge. Around it is a small garden with trees and flowers. The Mini-fig family that lives here enjoy the castle and garden every day!

The roof and walls can be lifted off (like a bell jar) to reveal the interior of the castle. The interior is set-up like a classic doll house: The floors consist of separate sections. Each can be decorated with the furniture elements that are also provided: Tables, chairs, beds, kitchen, an old bureau and even a grandfathers clock. Move them around to create you perfect interior.

For the design I chose a couple of extra challenges:
1) Make the castle in a non-square form. In this case a hexagon. Achieved by using Cheese slopes mounted to vertical plates to create the necessary 60 degree angles between the 6 sides.
2) A wall pattern that is different from regular horizontal build. Note the Red-Sand pattern that runs long the sides of the windows from top to bottom.
3) A tiled roof - also in hexagon form. Quite some puzzling to get that fitting. With little room between the six sections.
4) The jar-bell shape. So the top section can be lifted off to reveal the interior. To show it is actually possible and stable, and not a virtual build only, I have added a picture of the real set once put together in physical bricks.

I hope you like it!
Enjoy.
