“Everything is not what it seems”
from the Wizards of Waverly Place theme song.
This set depicts the iconic Russo family lair from the original Wizards of Waverly Place.
In light of the series sequel that has released recently, I created this set as I grew up watching WOWP and it was a core part of my childhood. I have fond memories following Alex, Justin and Max wizard antics. Even now rewatching hits me both childlike glee and nostalgia. The original sitcom ran on Disney channel from 2007 - 2012, and the sequel has released in 2024. Whether it’s Alex’s spells going wrong or the final wizard family competition, I enjoyed the series greatly.
This 1521 piece set contains a portion of the iconic family wizard lair, where Jerry held many of family wizard lessons. The set highlights the Wizards portal (that can open), seating area, a chest that opens, and various magical Artifacts in Lego form. A depiction of the lair, as seen in the episodes, in Lego form. In addition, there are 3 minifigures featuring the Russo siblings (Alex, Justin and Max).
The lair is built on a base on 32 by 48 studs.
I feel like this would make a good Lego set as it pays homage to an incredible sitcom from the Disney channel era. It has quite a lot of unique parts and builds through the different furniture and a fun level of interaction. I feel like this set is good for the fans of the show (or wizards in general) who wish to have a piece of the family lair within their own homes, or those who may like more mini-figure furniture.
