One of the best episodes from The Simpsons heyday was Marge vs. the Monorail, Season 4 Episode 12. Written by a team headed up by Conan O'Brien, It had everything from Flintstones parodies, a very memorable song and dance number, one liners galore, a guest appearance from Leonard Nimoy, and one of the Late Phil Hartman's greatest Simpsons characters, the swindler Lyle Lanley.

Well, people, there's nothing on earth
Like a genuine, bona fide
LEGO-fied, six-car monorail
What'd I say?

This build pays tribute to 1990s Simpsons, and the Springfield Monorail in particular. The main Station breaks into 3 layers to allow access to the inside. Ground floor, 2nd floor with a mini Krusty Burger, and the roof level for press conferences and to house the control room. Across the tracks is the passenger platform where Marge and Sebastian discuss the predicament Homer and all the passengers are in. It's kept fairly minimal to mimic the animation style and to keep the part number relatively low for a build of this size. The monorail train itself is complete with opossum family (the big one's called 'Bitey'). Minifigures are key characters from the episode, Homer Simpson (Monorail driver uniform), Lyle Lanley, Mayor Quimby, Chief Wiggum, Sebastian Cobb, Marge Simpson, and Bart Simpson.

I built this (using physical bricks) as I'd love to see more sets in The Simpsons theme to display alongside the Simpsons House and the Kwik-E-Mart. The monorail and station are iconic in Simpsons lore, and I think any Simpsons fan would love to add this to their collection, given half a chance.

Monorail
What's it called?
Monorail!
Once again
Monorail!
